VAERS cannot give medical advice and does not provide treatment. If someone is unwell now, contact a doctor. In an emergency, call 911.

What staff can help with

Questions about whether an event should be reported.
Help completing a report over the phone.
Requesting a paper VAERS-2 form.
Finding the VAERS ID for a report already submitted.
Questions about a follow-up request you have received.

Email and privacy

Do not include information that identifies the patient when you contact VAERS by email. Email is not a secure way to send medical records. See the privacy notice for what happens to the information in a report.
